Today I found out why people like tumblr. I didn't do much else. Expect random pictures posts frequently. Also found out how to have solo fun with slow shutter speed and lights and take silly pictures of my face. So sad that I have school now and can't find time to trawl the charity shops like I want to, plus I have an angry charity shop related anecdote/rant I need to share but can't share now because it's after midnight. Maybe tomorrow. Or on Monday night when I should be doing some work. Either way it made me angry.

out of the loop

I feel so disconnected with the tiny world around me. A week ago I deleted my facebook and today I broke my phone. It fell out of my pocket when I was running and I stepped on it. Oops. Oh well, I'd had it for four years so it's not like I didn't get my money's worth. I think I just got a bit to attached to it, since I got it when I was eleven.

Kiss With a Fist

Because of my absurd holiday sleeping pattern, I have become addicted to late night radio. I can't really explain how this happened, but basically I listen to Radio 4 for at least an hour every night - I just like the sound of people talking I suppose. Last night between 11 and midnight I caught the end of a really interesting program where Florence Welch was speaking about the poetry that influences her music and I (re?)discovered what a lovely engaging person she is. I found her really inspirational to listen to and her speaking voice is just so sugary and sweet. She was talking about her love of writing about things anatomical (lungs) in her music and the concept behind her song "Between Two Lungs", about breaking a kiss down to it's simplest form - "a breath shared between two people". It just reminded me of how much I love her music and how amazing she was at Latitude. I actually just found the rest of it on catch up, which I might listen to later. I recommend it, though.

last day of peace

I changed the address thingy, hope you all found me.







1. My brother took most of our Adrian Moles to uni, so I've only had the cappuccino years and the growing pains to satisfy my craving. If you haven't read any Adrian Mole, you really should - he's a great comfort. 2.More pictures of my hands, boring I know, but I wanted to show off that big fat coral one. It was a Christmas present from my brother which was too small for my chubby fingers. I put it on today, though, and it fitted! Yay for small victories. 3. And these are my new shoes, an impulse buy (sort of), heavily reduced from £46 to £10. I'd wanted some for a while and spotted them when I was bored whilst waiting for a friend who was trying on party heels. I like them a lot.


I start school again tomorrow which means less posts (or same amount of posts,less work - quite likely) and sad Lily. I am dreading it so much, seeing people I hate and being patronized is not my idea of a perfect day. At least I have my hunk of  a French teacher for a double in the afternoon. Again, small victories.

This is my favourite song at the moment, I think it's so beautiful. Hopefully some pictures soon, I want to take some. I feel a lot better, I just received such a nice comment. It made me cry a little bit. Thank you all so much, I will be a proper blogger again soon.

oh hi these are my fingers

Still feeling a bit off mentality wise. I find it really hard writing down what I'm feeling because I would say 90% of  my life is contained inside my head. Does that sound insane? I don't know, maybe it's normal. I hope not, because it would be a horrible world if everyone felt like I do all the time. Instead of finding new friends, I've been rediscovering old ones and I think I'll stick with them. No-one else has the patience to spend time with me.
I haven't managed to find any batteries (should probably get some rechargeable ones)  for my camera so no proper pictures, but I felt I need to share something. Thank you all for being nice.
