Flora

 Helloooooo!
I am finally really getting into regular posting, my blog has become a major part of my life now and I just want to make it better and better. Thank you for all your comments, they are so encouraging and lovely!

Dress - H&M (stolen/given to by a friend), Shirt - Topman (stolen from my brother), Shoes - Primark, Socks - made from an old pair of tights, Bow Headband - Accessorize, Bird Necklace - Accessorize, Assorted Rings - Toshop, H&M, Miss Selfridge.
This is what I wore yesterday to go shopping with Alice. I did some quite intense shopping and now have absolutely no money what so ever, but I do have lots of nice clothes and...
Photobucket
I bought a perfume! Incase you can't see in the picture, it's Flora by Gucci. It smells so pretty and I'm so proud of it, it's my first ever real perfume unless you count my Britney one I had in year seven. And yes, it was expensive, but I used my £20 Boots gift card I had saved from my birthday (six months ago) until I could find a perfume I liked. That's how long I've been on the hunt! It lasts so long as well, I put some on yesterday in the shop and I can still smell it. Mmmm.
I'm going to save my new purchases for other outfit pictures, because I will be definitely wearing them soon.

Cheap Thrills.

Firstly, I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of comments I received on my last post - thank you sooooooo much everyone! You are all so lovely!
And now a little outfit.
I bought this dress on Friday and, to be truthful because I could never lie to you, I only tried it on because of the price (£5, I'm a bargain hunter at heart). But when I put it, I fell in love. It hangs to prettily and is so comfy and I just love the lacey detail. I don't own enough things with pretty details like this and I really should. Thank you, H&M!
I didn't actually wear any shoes because I was inside all day, but I thought I'd pop some on to make it more of an outfit - these are my yummy Portobello brogues.

The next thing is a bit silly. I bought new shoes. Two pairs.

Photobucket
Except they are the same shoes.
 ...
I liked them! The black ones I can wear to school, and they are cheap so I can wear them to places I would be scared to take my good brogues. That's my justification, anyway.

I thought this picture was boring and looked too serious for a picture about new shoes... so I drew a mustache on it.

He used to be a singer in a rock n roll band.

 Ooh, get me, posting midweek!
Actually this post is so pre-planned, it's a little embarrassing. On Sunday, I wore this, took these pictures, and made this collage. But I already had enough pictures for my post on Sunday so, being the sneaky gal I am, I decided to hide it away and bridge the gap between the next time I can be bothered to put some batteries in my camera.
Photobucket
Hmm, my pose didn't seem that silly when I was posing it.
Incase you were wondering, my bed is so low down because it's not a bed, it's a mattress on the floor. I have no bed. I decided I hated my old bed, and no new bed has been bought so... I have no bed.

That's the song, it's pretty. Listen to it if you like pretty music.

hopefully another post will come soon!

Contented.

My first week back at school is over and the second almost here, but with summer fast approaching everything seems a lot easier and more relaxed. But I'm becoming such a hermit, lately my ideal day is staying at home watching Come Dine With Me!
Yesterday I managed to drag myself out of the house for lovely Holly's belated birthday party. We all mooched about in a little nail bar and had our nails done, which was so nice and (continuing with the theme) relaxing. I chose "Ashes of Rose" because I loved the name and I've been swayed by the media into believing that everything should be in unoffensive shades of blush.
Photobucket
I wore the one on the right for the party, the left for lounging at home.
The shirt and amazing leather skirt were my recent H&M purchases, £10 each. The shirt fits like a dream, is a fab shape & and is so lusciously soft. The skirt is just amazing. Mmm, pleather.
And the denim shorts I made two years ago from my mums boyfriend fit Gap jeans, I just throw them on when the mood takes me.
Photobucket
Lately I've been feeling like wearing as many rings as I can stuff on my fingers, most of these are H&M from little packs that only cost £1.99! They're all so pretty, and this means I can stop feeling so angry when I look at overpriced (in my case, probably cheap for most people) Topshop rings.
This sweet little cupcake came in my party bag, and the tiny ice cream matched my nails so I got excited and took a picture. Isn't it cute?

love always,
Lily

P.S. How to the pictures look to you? I'm using a new editing program that Rachel from In An English Accent  reccomended to me and I think it looks so much better!

Oh, and I was a cat.

Playsuit - Primark, Cardigan - H&M

Everything is better by the riverside, especially on a lovely sunny day. Unfortunately the weather is being quite nasty and cloudy now, but that's okay since it's just in time for school. And who wants to waste sunny days sweating in a classroom? Not meeee, so save them all up for weekends please!

much love

Saturday 5 June 2010

I'm making changes.

The blog is getting a big kick up the bum, or a makeover if you want to be more subtle.
I'm putting a lot more of myself into it now, and I really hope you are all liking it! This header isn't forever, and I'm aware it's not a pretty sight (ok yeah I made it in about a minute on paint) but I was bored with the old one and time and effort aren't my friends right now.
If you have suggestions, or even want to be amazing and make me a header, then pleeeeease do I will love you more than I already do for reading my blog.
In an attempt to make this an interesting post, doesn't Carey Mulligan just look like perfection here? Seriously, this picture is too perfect. SO perfect it makes me a little sad, but in a happy lovely ohmygoshshe'samazing way.

Today I did this.

And loved it.

Hot days call for strawberries and favourite books.
Tomorrow I'm picnicking by the river, first swim of the year hopefully - very excited! Hopefully summer has actually begun, no more false starts please. I already have tan lines, even if no-one else can see them.

Yesterday it rained.

I wore this. Still not sure if I like it.

(Blouse - Zara, Vest thing - Topshop, Skirt - H&M, Cardigan - Kew, Tights - ???, Brogues - Vintage, Satchel - My mums)
I love this satchel, it's so deliciously battered and worn - which I think looks much more appealing than a fresh out of the box one. My mum stole it from one of her boyfriends at art college and now it's mine. The brogues were my dream find from Portobello market, they are in such beautiful condition and the colour is so yummy.
ANYWAYS, soon I will post my supeeeer new purchases (INCLUDING PLEATHER!!!) which I am in love with.
