new.

Yes, it's been a month so as a treat for hanging on for so long you get some ridiculous posey webcam photos! Lucky you!
I don't normally take pictures of myself so maybe that's why they came out looking so... individual? But I needed to update and show off my fringe, which I'm quite proud of even though it seems to be the predictable hairstyle of choice for uuuuuuuuuum every blogger ever everywhere, something had to be done.
Basically my hair before was NASTY. It was straggly and split endy and horrid, so I got it cut. And it was worse. They gave me som stupid spikey flicky thing which made me want to cry and have a little breakdown. So my mummy did this for me.
I'm really liking my yellow nails at the moment, they make everything I do a tiny little brighter - which is odd because I hate the colour yellow normally. And how lovely is this ring? It's a little daisy on a chain thing, £2 from Topshop. So far I am sticking to my plan of not buying anything from Topshop unless it's onsale (or socks) and my money stash has been growing, maybe soon I can treat myself to a little shopping trip.
I bought these sunglasses off my brother for £3, he ordered some for himself and they sent these instead which was good news for me considering it was around the time of the crazy heatwave. The whole weekend I lived in these and Primark playsuits lounging in the sun.

Oh and this picture is just to prove how lame I am, incase you hadn't already noticed.
Now here I would appreciate some feedback. At times I don't feel my blog is completely honest or fully 'me', which is why posts feel like so much effort. I think I would like to start making posts that matter, and feature my opinions and feelings more. So maybe this blog will become a bit more personal? I need to think things over, but hopefully I will be back soon with some substantial posting.
Lily.
P.S. Although I'm feeling a bit Topshop negative, I'm a bit in love with the make up. Especially the lipstick, my favourite is Brighton Rock

hideaway sunshine

Helloooo Honeys, I hope you are all well! I feel very motivated to blog right now because the weather has been spectacularly spectacular of late, so I am feeling especially cheery.
Yesterday's sunshine prompted the first barbecue of the year, which was immensely lush by my standards. We were all a bit too scared of a possible turn in the weather (it's the English way, I'm sure) to venture down to the river, so we had a very chilled afternoon in Emily's garden instead.

Everyone ignore my freakishly salmon legs, please.
Not quite sure what happened here, but I think the picture is quite cute. The beautiful girl on the floor is Alice, I love love loooooove her tights (and our matchy-matchy stripeyness).

Outfit - dress; H&M, scarf; H&M, jacket; my daddy's, shoes; Doc Martens, hat: H&M
I just bought this dress from H&M for an AMAZING bargain price of £9.99! I love it so much it's so perfect for summer and has a truly yummy sleeve length, £9.99!!

Other than that, my life has consisted of consuming far too many Fabs, watching, criticising (andsometimes loving) Doctor Who and eating cake. Right this minute my mummy is playing Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros very loudly which is just a little bit fabulous.

Make the most of the sunshine, go and play catch with your friends!!!

sunday blues.

I have that horrible "last sunday of the holidays" feeling and I must say it is bringing me down and making me lazy and sad. And with school everyday I can kiss goodbye these regular outfit photos & go back to forgetting to post for weeks & weeks. I'll try to fight it, I promise.

Please forgive how ridiculously dim I look in these pictures, it was about midnight when they are taken which is far to late for my little child's brain. But I have found this to be a much better place for photos, the light is better and the many shelves make for good camera positioning.
I am so in love with this belt it's a little unreal. I borrowed it from my daddy & it's made of a horse's bridle (!!!!!!!) so every time I put it on or take it off it makes the lovely clicky clacky sound just like untacking a horse! That might not be so exciting if you aren't a fellow horse rider, but for me it is so nice and familiar.
Birthday shoes are the loveliest.
This is the best picture I could get, but it still isn't great. If you can't see, it's a tiny branch with a little bird hanging from it - it really is ever so sweet and precious.

On Friday I spent the day in London, mostly at my favourite museum (and possibly place) in the whole world - the Victoria and Albert! The V&A is so perfect and pretty and always feels just like home. Of course I mainly stray towards the fashion section because I simply love to stare at vintage Chanel & Victorian day dresses but I could happily spend hours and hours wandering through all the exhibits. One of the main reasons I would adore living in London is I would always be able to, as often as I liked and whenever boredom took me I could hop on a bus and browse the museums and all the others things that are just there to be explored.
While at the V&A, before nibbling on a yummy piece of carrot cake, I picked up these charming little earrings from the shop for the tiny sum of £4! How delightful.

I promise the sailor coat will be up here before the week is over, because I am a nice blogger.

P.S. Thank you all ever so much for the comments I have received lately, they all make me smile an awful lot.

I love the smell of old.

I think my favourite smell is antique shop. I'm not sure if that sentence really makes sense, but it's true. I love the musty old smell of half forgotten antique shops, which can also be found in tatty old books & truly loved jumpers with holes in (especially my grandad's lovely cosy hand-knitted ones). That's why I love this one of my brother's, although just bought from ebay and not passed down through the family, it is so cosy and warm and snuggly and itchy and scratchy and lovable.

MAD JUMPER PATTERN! Makes me feel like I'm one of the famous five, which of course I love.

My camera ruins my life, this is actually an adorable little deer.

I'm very proud of myself for actually posting and outfit on the day I wore it, but now I really am sleepy and have to go to bed.
Love & Kisses

shall I compare thee to a valentines day

Happy Day After Valentines Day!
I meant to post this last night but, silly time waster that I am, it never happened. My Valentines Day was a bit of a let down, but not an awful one. I had planned to spend it baking cakes and drinking pink drinks and sticking hearts everywhere but all my pals were out with their families, so I spent it wearing red, plaiting my hair & sticking hearts on my face.
I looooove Valentines Day, I love the cuteness & the tackyness & the general lovey-doveyness. It genuinely upsets me a bit when all the bitter people in the world get all angry, especially on a day to celebrate looooooooooooooooooove! So, if you didn't this year, NEXT Valentines Day spread the love to EVERYONE!

And here is my sugar sweet outfit from yesterday.

Top; H&M, Cardigan; Topshop, Skirt; H&M, Tights; from my mummy's box of tights, Shoes; OLD OLD OLD Doc Martens, Necklace; Birthday gift from Alice from Accessorize.

My Valentines surprise. Things always taste better when they're heart-shaped ♥.

Lots of Valentines Wishes & Love From
Lily

wow.

As you may have noticed, this isn't the sailor coat as promised. And for this I am very sorry, but it will come!

In the mean time, though, as I was watching the good old first series of Skins in a hope to comfort myself (because of the disappointing stupid new Skins) I totally and completely fell in love with Cassie. In particular, Cassie's clothes or style or whatever you want to call the amazingness of wearing a cuddly toy monkey round your neck. I love how sometimes she looks completely elegant in her sparkly gold vintage dresses and pleated skirts and others she is frolicking around with said monkey.
She just seems so adorably precious and, dare I say it, cute. This is how I wish I could dress, all fun and carefree.

AND A BIG THANK YOU for all my recent comments, you are all so lovely! AND ANOTHER BIG THANK YOU to my fourteen followers, I find it so made that people like to read my blog, but mad in the nicest, sweetest and most beautiful way.
